1. About these terms and the app

GlucoLumi is a personal data overview for importing, storing and displaying glucose readings and pen records from sources you connect. It can export source information and optionally write selected data to Apple Health. GlucoLumi is designed for iPhone and a paired Apple Watch, with widgets and Live Activities. It is not offered as a Mac app.

GlucoLumi is not intended for dosing, diagnosis, medical monitoring, prevention, treatment changes or emergency decisions. The release build does not provide its own glucose alerts or clinical analysis calculations.

App Store downloads and purchases are also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions applicable to your country or region. These store terms are separate from the app licence and the app-specific conditions on this page.

2. License and responsible use

The app is licensed, not sold. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to App Store downloads unless a custom licence is stated. These app-specific terms supplement the licence; they do not replace it.

3. Purchases, subscriptions and access

A verified monthly auto-renewable subscription or eligible trial provides access to new CGM fetching and pen scans, including fresh data for widgets and other displays. Writing already stored records and queues to Apple Health does not require a subscription; active health-data consent and the required Health permission still apply. A pen scan started with valid access may finish after subscription expiry. Apple provides the current storefront price and any eligible offer in the purchase flow before you confirm. A seven-day free trial is offered only when available and when Apple confirms eligibility; it is not guaranteed for every customer.

Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account. An eligible free trial becomes a paid monthly subscription unless cancelled in time. Review the price, billing period and renewal terms in the purchase confirmation.

Saved records are retained when access ends. History, settings, supported corrections, export and deletion remain accessible without a subscription. This is not a promise that every overview or display remains unlocked. Resetting or uninstalling GlucoLumi does not cancel your subscription. A subscription does not guarantee continuous availability of third-party CGM services and does not change the app's safety limitations. No annual or lifetime plan is offered by this version.

4. Restoring purchases and refunds

The subscription renews monthly unless cancelled through Apple. Review the price and renewal terms shown before purchase. Manage or cancel it in the app's subscription screen or your Apple Account subscription settings. Apple explains how to cancel, including cancelling a trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want renewal. Paid access normally continues until the verified end date; refunds, revocations and billing status can change access.

Restore purchases in Settings → Subscription using the same Apple Account. Refund requests can be submitted through Apple’s refund process; eligibility and statutory consumer rights still apply. Contact Torvi Studio if the service does not work as described.

TestFlight beta: purchases made in TestFlight are test transactions without charges and do not transfer to the App Store version. The normal payment and renewal terms above apply to App Store purchases. Beta access and test-renewal timing can differ from production. Accelerated test renewals do not describe the production trial period. See Apple’s TestFlight information.

5. Using the app

Important safety limitations

  • Do not use GlucoLumi to determine insulin doses, change medication, make a diagnosis or make emergency treatment decisions.
  • The app is not a primary alarm. It does not replace the sensor manufacturer's official app, approved alarms, a glucose meter, your treatment plan or healthcare professionals.
  • Readings, source trends, charts, pen records, widgets, Apple Watch, Live Activities and Shortcuts can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, incorrect or unavailable. Apple controls background updates; timely updates cannot be guaranteed.
  • If symptoms do not match a reading, follow the manufacturer's instructions and your treatment plan, check with an approved meter when recommended, and seek emergency medical help in an emergency.

Pen records and Apple Health

Apple Health integration is optional and permission is requested through a separate action. Declined or dismissed access can be handled later from Overview. Health permission is not required to fetch CGM data or read pen records into the app; current health-data consent and subscription access still apply.

A pen record indicates an actuated dose, not that insulin was injected. Records may include priming. The shared Airshot threshold defaults to 0 U, disabling automatic marking. Confirm your threshold, including 0 U, before the first real pen export to Apple Health.

With current health-data consent, new and retained records strictly below the threshold are marked as airshots; records equal to it are not automatically marked. Airshots remain in pen history and full CSV exports, but are excluded from the insulin overview and Health exports. Changing the threshold updates automatic markings and preserves manual ones. Automatic markings cannot be individually overridden while below the threshold. This is an amount rule you choose, not reliable identification of priming or an injection; it can also exclude genuine small injections.

For an already exported affected record, GlucoLumi queues removal of its own matching Health sample. Removal may fail or need a retry. Lowering the threshold does not cancel pending removal; it must finish before a later permitted export. Original pen records remain locally. Complete pending Health corrections before deleting individual records. Full reset can remove pending work without removing the corresponding Health data.

Supported corrections do not allow unrestricted editing of historical doses, times or categories. Profile changes do not automatically rewrite earlier categories. Check records and your chosen insulin name and basal/bolus category before export. These labels are user-provided. The Export automatically to Apple Health switch is off for new pens and must be enabled per pen. GlucoLumi does not identify your insulin or recommend a dose. See support for the settings and correction steps.

Your configuration choices and demo

First-time setup for real data requires safety and privacy acknowledgements, separate health-data consent and a verified subscription or eligible trial. On long pages, Continue scrolls through the content before advancing; scrolling accepts nothing. Confirm each acknowledgement with an explicit selection and Continue. Purchase, CGM connection, pen scanning and Health permission have their own actions. Optional CGM, pen, Health and reminder steps can be passed without configuring them.

Returning users are automatically shown only notices needing a new acknowledgement. Settings → Help & About → Review setup opens the full setup with separate saved progress and does not delete data. See support for navigation and resuming setup.

Choose the correct account, followed person, CGM source, display unit and optional Apple Health integration. Check data against the official source before using it in a health-related context. You control which records to export to Apple Health and where to share exported files. Consent for your own data does not authorise use of another person's or a child's data; the necessary authority and lawful basis must be established separately. A follower connection alone is not sufficient.

Optional local reminders are off by default. Pen reminders require configured real pens; app-opening reminders require a real CGM source. They pause in demo mode or without health-data consent. They do not assess glucose, recommend insulin or guarantee delivery or complete source history. Demo is a separate trial session that you confirm. It needs no CGM account, subscription, physical pen or health-data consent. Demo data are labelled and never written to Apple Health; demo does not test real NFC, provider sign-in or Health writes.

Exit demo ends the session. Demo from setup pauses rather than completes it; exiting returns to the same page, including after restarting the app. Demo from Settings returns to Settings. Settings changed in demo return to their pre-demo values when exit completes. Demo pen records have separate, temporary history that clears on exit or app restart; real pen history is not replaced. Other synthetic glucose history and exported files may remain.

Exit demo before configuring real CGM connections, changing health-data consent, purchasing or managing a subscription, configuring reminders or changing real-data permissions or deletion settings.

6. Storage, sync and platform services

GlucoLumi asks the system to exclude its own persistent data and Watch copies from new iCloud and computer backups. This does not erase earlier backups or control every system-managed copy. Do not rely on device backups to restore app history. Full pen CSV export includes all retained records, while glucose export is period/dataset limited; neither can be imported back into the app as a backup.

7. Optional features and third-party services

The LibreLinkUp integration uses an unofficial interface that can change or close without notice. Nightscout is operated by you or a separate provider. Torvi Studio does not control these services' availability, accuracy or terms.

GlucoLumi is not affiliated with or endorsed by Abbott, Nightscout Foundation, Novo Nordisk or Apple. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. Privacy and deletion

The policy reference is 2026-10-01. The separate health-data consent notice is 2026-10-01.1 and also describes optional local reminders.

You may withdraw health-data consent in Settings, disconnect CGM sources, turn off optional permissions, delete local data or uninstall the app. If health-data consent is missing, withdrawn or for an older notice version, new fetching, new Health exports and automatic airshot changes and removals are paused. This includes work in existing queues. Existing markings and history are retained. System operations already started may finish. Where offered, existing users can choose View saved data after any required safety and privacy acknowledgements. This does not grant or renew health-data consent, start demo mode or allow new fetching. Viewing saved data, CSV export, deletion subject to the existing restrictions and explicit manual corrections remain available. A manual Try again processes only the selected record, not other queued records, and does not resume automatic processing. Consent is a separate choice, not part of accepting these terms; withdrawal does not cancel the subscription. Data in Apple Health, third-party services and exported files must be managed separately. See the privacy policy and support page for the deletion steps and their scope.

Reset does not remove old backups or Health samples. An offline Watch may keep a snapshot until reset delivery succeeds. If clearing a widget request or deleting pen history fails, Settings and an error remain available for retry. Previously deleted data are not restored; reset is not an all-or-nothing operation.

9. Availability and changes

Torvi Studio may correct, change, restrict or discontinue features when necessary for safety, technical, legal or provider-related reasons. Continuous availability of unofficial interfaces is not guaranteed. Changes to paid access remain subject to applicable consumer law, including notice and remedies where required; this is not an unrestricted right to remove paid functionality.

10. Consumer rights and complaints

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the app is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, completeness or error-free operation. Torvi Studio does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing on this page limits mandatory consumer rights.
